Kevin Peterson was born in Homer, Alaska, in 1970 and relocated to Tennessee in 1976. He married his wife, Evie, in 1995, the same year he began his career in foundation services, initially working as a laborer. Kevin quickly progressed into management, overseeing operations until 2002.

In 2002, motivated by the birth of his twin sons, Gunar and JD, Kevin founded Petersen & Sons, reflecting the significance of family in his professional endeavors. The company started modestly, employing only one person in its initial year but steadily expanded to a thriving organization with over 100 employees.

Initially specializing exclusively in footing services, Petersen & Sons significantly diversified its capabilities in 2007 when Nick Rankhorn joined the team, introducing commercial projects and poured wall construction. Kevin’s youngest son, Zachary, was born in 2006, further reinforcing the family-oriented spirit that defines both his personal and professional life.
